Apollo’s Shield is a portable lockdown solution made from a vinyl coated 3/16" galvanized cable. It is manufactured to withstand up to 4,700 MBS. Each cable, with machine secured looped-ends, is cut to a length specifically made to accommodate the classroom setting. A 3/8” eye bolt anchors the cable securely in the CMU block wall. A glow-in-the-dark tag is attached so that it can easily be found and applied, even if the power goes out.
This product is intended to provide administration and emergency personnel additional time to ascertain the situation and/or neutralize the threat.
